WIND ADVISORY FOR NOVEMBER 17, 2025

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Wind Advisory for Monday, November 17, 2025, for the San Gabriel Mountains. The NWS is forecasting southwest winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour (mph) with gusts up to 45 mph. Caution should be taken in areas where pop-up canopies, tree branches or other objects may become airborne and exposed to wind damage. Students and staff should be kept away from these areas while high winds are present.

Immediately direct reports or fallen tree limbs to the Maintenance and Operations Branch at (213) 745-1600. When wind speeds exceed 25 miles per hour, construction materials that could become airborne (such as unsecured plywood sheeting, tarps, etc.) must be properly secured and construction related activities that have the potential to create dust ( such as excavating and grading) should be suspended.
